Shipping Policy

IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION:

We ship to the Continental U.S.A. only.

We ship our products using US Postal Service.
We ship via USPS, Monday-Wednesday due to the perishable nature of our products. USPS Delivers Monday-Saturday.
Once an order is shipped you will receive a tracking number. We ship all perishable products with frozen gel packs in EPS (expanded polystyrene) lined cardboard boxes to prevent spoilage and to insure freshness.

If you are purchasing perishable items or heat sensitive items (such as meat products), we recommend selecting one of the following USPS shipping options: Priority or Express Mail. An overnight service should be selected for frozen meat products; Any selection other than a Priority or Express Mail service is at the customer's own risk. If you select groung USPS shipping for perishable items, it is at your own risk and we will not be held responsible if the items perish.

SHIPPING COSTS

We ship in insulated shipping packaging with frozen gel packs to prevent spoilage for all perishable items. Our shipping costs are determined by the weight of the package and the shipping address zip code. An $8.00 fee is also applied to the shipping cost to cover for the packaging material.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE

Due to the perishable nature of the meats we avoid shipping them later in the week to prevent the package from spending the weekend in a warehouse.

We ship all orders that require 2 days transit time on Monday and Wednesday. We ship overnight packages Monday-Thursday. Once an order is received, it may take 1-5 days before it ships.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:

We do NOT take international orders.

DISCLAIMERS:

PRODUCTS ARE PERISHABLE!

We ship perishable products. Therefore it is imperative that someone be present when USPS delivers the packages. We are not responsible for the package after the first delivery attempt is made. You will have a tracking number to estimate the arrival date. If you are unsure if the recipient will be present at the arrival time DO NOT SEND any perishable goods.

We ship perishable items wrapped with ice gel packs to preserve them for up to 48 hours (depending on weather conditions), after which they are subject to unfavorable conditions, especially during the summer season. USPS may deliver to certain states in 1-2 business days; hence using this option may be acceptable. In any other state, you must use Priority or Express Mail option to guarantee safe delivery and freshness of the products. If you have multiple shipments, we recommend that you separate Perishable and Non-Perishable items into two separate orders in order to minimize your shipping expenses. We make adjustments on shipment dates to avoid weekend delays when perishables are present. While this may delay your order, we do this to protect your order. Romaniansausage.com will not accept responsibility for damages to perishable items under any condition.

CORRECT ADDRESS

We guarantee shipment to the address provided. During warm weather, in most cases if we ship to an incorrect address provided by the customer and the contents have perished, then they can’t be reshipped.

DAMAGED GOODS

In the unlikely event that a product received is incorrect, spoiled or shorted in the shipment, sales@romaniansausage.com must be notified within 24 hours of receipt of the product(s) in question for appropriate action to take place such as a credit or refund to be issued and or processed and or a re-shipment.

We make the same guarantee for non-perishables, without the temperature constraint. Any item(s) that you consider unsatisfactory will be replaced or refunded upon your request, without hassle, as long as you alert us to the details of the problem within 24 hours of receipt of your order. Romaniansausage.com does not accept returns that have not been authorized, so we urge you not to refuse delivery or send back items without calling us before. Once the items have been received back at our store a credit for the cost of the items will be issued to your account, unless you have selected an exchange. Shipping charges are non refundable. We are not responsible for products that spoil due to: packages left at the door for extended periods of time, packages sent back to freight location because nobody was available to sign or receive them, or delays in delivery times due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.
